Henry B. “Hank” Paup '70

Henry B. “Hank” Paup earned his BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University in 1970. He was a member of the Corps of Cadets and served as First Sergeant then Commander of Company H-1. He was also a Ross Volunteer, a Distinguished Military Graduate, and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant (Captain, USAR retired). He was a two-year varsity letterman and distance swimmer on the men’s swimming and diving team and set the school record for the mile swim at the SWC championship meet in 1969. Hank graduated from SMU School of Law in 1973. After practicing for 10 years with two other firms, he established his own boutique law firm in 1983, specializing in estate planning, probate and tax. Hank is board certified in estate planning and probate. He is also a CPA.
Hank’s involvement at Texas A&M includes serving as Muster Chairman and President of the Fort Worth/Tarrant County A&M Club. He is a life member of the Texas A&M Libraries and the Lettermen’s Association. Hank and his wife, Anne, have endowed 10 scholarships including Corps of Cadets 21 scholarships, varsity men’s swimming scholarships, a horticulture scholarship and the first Dean’s endowed scholarship at the new Texas A&M Law School. Hank is also a major donor to the TAMU Sports Museum, the 12th Man Foundation Champions Council and the Kyle Field Lettermen’s Club project. He is the lead donor for the Natatorium/Varsity Swimming Capital Expansion project. Hank and Anne have been active at First United Methodist Church and numerous other charities including the Jewel Charity Ball.
Hank and Anne reside in Fort Worth, and have been married 41 years. They have two children: Spivey Paup ’01 and his wife Brooke ’01 and Robbie Jane Paup Pope ’07 and her new husband Daniel Pope (an Aggie supporter, as long as we are not playing Auburn); and two grandchildren, Henry Brooks Paup ’32, and Heidi Anne Paup ’35.
